... hot on the trail for Tyrolean Gröstl ingredients
Potatoes - food for the poor? Once considered a poor man's food, the potato has now long been considered a quality food product; and the Tyrolean Gröstl boosts it to cult status!
You will be following the trail of the Gröstl ingredients. In the three villages of the Mieming Plateau you can visit farmers who provide the perfect ingredients for a world-class mouth-watering Gröstl.

Along the way pick up potato sorts that date back centuries, fresh creamy butter, meat and everything else you need to make your Gröstl. The trail stretches from Wildermieming in the east and heads west past the Moosalm meadows, past Obsteig and off the edge of the Plateau towards Nassereith.
Many of the guest houses along the way present you, the highly critical Gröstl taster, their interpretation of the popular dish.
